I was only making an affirmative assertion regarding the white iPhone and the female population. Affirmative statements about one sex do not insinuate, nor should one infer, equally negative assertions for the opposite sex. It's not a zero sum event. The phone can be wildly popular among all demographics. But it will be women's fashion mags (moreso than men's) that will portray it as a hot fashion accessory for the season. This is my opinion obviously.

Oh, sorry, apparently I'm not very good at this time thing. I really did try to start it right as a new day started somewhere. If you wouldn't mind telling me, what time was it in UTC +14 when I posted this. You can use the link in the OP I have a feeling you didn't use if you need help.
It's on Line Islands (http://wikitravel.org/en/Kiribati#Line_Islands) located in Kiribati.
Yea, the place already at 1st Aug by the time you created the thread.

I'm surprised it isn't mentioned here (let alone searching the forums came up with zero hits). iAlert (http://angeman.perso.cegetel.net/iAlert/en/) is a little preference pane that lets you put various bezels on your desktop. Not as cool as konfabulator, and useless whentiger/dashboard is released, but still pretty cool.

This is great. I like the addition of European blood into the Moderator folk to help with additional time zones.
Nermal might be a bit offended by that. ;)

Draggable tabs is really good news. I like the way things are being gradually improved too. I think Leopard could be a pretty polished OS when we see it.

This is rather amusing. People rush out to buy cheesy $30 iPhone Bumpers that cost .10 to make or some other overpriced case and have no issue. Many even buy multiples before they decide on one.
But ATT raises the cost of a early upgrade phone by $50 and people go bonkers.
1) It's an early upgrade. Do you really need to upgrade your phone sooner than every 18 months? If you do, that is your decision as a consumer. You certainly have no God given right to a cheap upgrade though. Stop whining.
2) Inflation is here. Deal with it. Have you been to the grocery store lately? It's the price we pay when the Fed prints money like Chinese knock-offs.
3) Last I checked the government enacts laws regarding the cell phone industry and also regulates the frequencies. There has never been anything stopping either congress or the executive branch or independent commissions from imposing rules to require cellcos to unlock phones after x months of service or to require them to sell unlocked phones.
This... end of discussion.
Everyone wants state of the art high speed networks AND cheap phones and plans.
Ain't gonna happen.
And so how is merging with T-Mobile going to open up choice, provide more competition and benefit customers? Sounds like they are just getting an early start on price gouging here.
Not only should the merger be rejected but AT&T should be broken into about 5 separate companies.
AT&T broken up??? For what reason?
The merger will go through.
It's not about customer choice, this merger is solely about gaining network assets.
There are no other options for expanding. All the frequencies are sold.
The only way to gain more is through mergers and acquisitions.
As they gobble up T-Mobile AT&T and Verizon can agree to price increases.
No, they can't. That's called price fixing and is VERY illegal.
Just so you know, Verizon's 4G LTE speeds blow AT&T out of the water.
If you're happy with only having 3 hours of battery life. ;)

I played with a Samsung Blackjack this weekend and boy was that sweet (other than it was running MSMobile). I really hope Apple comes out with something like the Blackjack except with their own mobile OS.

alright! thanks! let us know if you have any problems or issues and we'll try to help you out.
we just got passed by another team, so we are now #61. and we will get passed again in less than a month. we have got to get more people involved!
Or current people getting bonus points. I'm busy today, but maybe I could write up something tonight, time permitting.

Once Yahoo started their AJAXy mail service (FireFox only for Macs of course) I thought Apple would have to upgrade their service. I'm hoping their new partnership with Google will bring interoperability between .Mac and Google features like Mail, Pages, Calendar, and more.
But how about this for perspective: it only costs about $55 to join AND renew the .Mac service. Happily, Apple lets us use the serial numbers that come in any .Mac retail box, like the ones we buy at places we find at froogle.google.com et. al. I've joined and renewed at this price. We can even use these numbers to join at the end of a .Mac Trial. Makes .Mac seem twice worthwhile, donnit? ;)
